Sam

Mr. Sam Williams has been in the non-profit sector for over twenty years. Sam has done men's empowerment work in the Greater Boston community with youths, adults, and individuals returning home from incarceration. As a lead facilitator, Sam formerly ran men's groups with the United Souls Program, Nurturing Father, BRAVE Unit, and the Brother's Healing Circles for over two decades. He also provides programming, training, and coaching in various Dept of Correction facilities (MCI-Norfolk, MCI-Walpole, and MCI-Concord) and the Sheriff County Houses of Corrections in Dedham and Billerica, Massachusetts. Sam is a 200 hr. Certified Yoga Instructor (registered @ Yoga Alliance) & 200 hr Certified Meditation teacher (Radiant Sutra School of Meditation). He is also a trained trauma-informed Facilitator and Restorative Justice Practitioner. Sam emphasizes healthy mind and body empowerment through awareness building, personal accountability, and self-directed learning strategies. 

Mr. Williams was honored in 2019 by the City of Boston (City Council) for Men's Healing Circle work through restorative justice. 2006 by The Philanthropic Initiative as a recipient of the Boston Neighborhood Fellows Award for his leadership and commitment to others. Other honors include The Whittier Street Men's Health Summit 2006 Health Champion, The Jay Bliztman Youth Advocacy Award 2004, and the Action for Boston Community Development Award in 2004 for outstanding volunteer contribution to the City of Boston.
